Some of you may have already heard through the grapevine, (or not?), but Isaiah Richard Sharda was born on April 3, at 12:20 pm. He weighed 8 lbs 0 oz, and is the spitting image of his Mom. He is pretty skinny, has fairly long fingers and enormous feet. We're guessing this might mean he may be tall in the future. I was in labor for about 12 hours, and although it was undoubtedly the most pain and discomfort I have ever experienced, it was so worth it. Aside from sleep deprivation, I am pretty healthy and recovering well.
Isaiah is a very content baby and has been allowing his parents to take relatively long 'naps' at night (3-4 hours at a time). I hear that this is not bad for a 1-2 week old kid, so we are grateful.
Dan is starting to go back to work on a several hours/day basis, and I am staying at home with Isaiah for now. I am thoroughly enjoying every gaze, gyration and Isaiahism that he provides me with. I'm also trying to get out for a walk at least once every day, as my back muscles are still not quite back in shape from having the beer gut removed all at once.
Here are some pictures from these first few days/weeks of his life. Enjoy!
